MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


Higher Certificate in Nursing (R169) (NQF 5) and Diploma in Nursing (R171) (NQF 6)

  • Post Basic Diploma/Degree in Nursing Education and Management
  • Registration with SANC as a Moderator and Assessor
  • Minimum of 5 years working as a Registered Nurse
  • Current Registration with the South African Nursing Council

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Midwifery (R174) (NQF 8)

  • Post Basic Diploma/Degree in Nursing Education and Management
  • Registration with SANC as a Moderator and Assessor
  • A relevant Master’s Degree (NQFL9) or Doctoral Degree (NQF10) in Nursing
  • Minimum of 5years working as a Professional Nurse
  • Current Registration with the South African Nursing Council

Advanced Diploma Midwifery (R1497) (NQF 7)

  • Post Basic Diploma/Degree in Nursing Education and Management
  • Registration with SANC as a Moderator and Assessor
  • A relevant Master’s Degree (NQFL9) or Doctoral Degree (NQF10) in Nursing
  • Minimum of 5years working as a Professional Nurse
  • Current Registration with the South African Nursing Council

Postgraduate Diplomas, (R635) (NQF 8)

  1. Primary Care Nursing
  2. Orthopedic Nursing
  3. Mental Health Nursing
  4. Peri-operative Nursing
  5. Midwifery Nursing
  6. Emergency Nursing
  7. Adult Critical Care Nursing
    • Post Basic Diploma/Degree in Nursing Education and Management
    • Registration with SANC as a Moderator and Assessor
    • Minimum of 14 years working as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 4 years experience as a Nurse educator.
      • A specialist qualification in the specific area of specialization
      • A relevant master’s degree (NQFL9) or Doctoral Degree  (NQFL10) in  Nursing
      • Current Registration with the South African Nursing Council

Responsibilities/ KRA’s

  • Moderate Assessments Clinical and Theoretical
  • Provision of feedback on assessment practices.
  • Moderate set assessments.
  • Moderate marked scripts as per the WCCN Moderation Policy.
  • Perform Quality Assurance on all assessment strategies.
  • Collaborate with subject coordinators.
  • Provide written feedback to the Heads of Departments.

Remuneration

Payments are in accordance with the WCCN remuneration structure for moderation.
