Welcome to the Continuous Education and Training programmes
The WCG College of Emergency Care started with the CET programme in 2016, in partnership with WCG Health and Wellness Directorate People Development, to assist with the funding of the project, the relevant Partnership/s in Education, namely, the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) the Department of Higher Education & Training (DHET) as well as the Western Cape Community Education and Training College (WCCETC) and its affiliated Community Learning Centers (CLC)
The CET Programme
The purpose of the CET programme is to provide WCG employees with an opportunity to redo their grade 12 subjects such as; Mathematics/Mathematical Literacy, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences and English in order to be able to access the application process for the Emergency Medical Care qualifications.
CET Schedule
All CET students attend full-time classes at our premises WCG College of Emergency Care from Monday to Friday, for the duration of the programme, in preparation for the May/June Senior Certificate (SC)_National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations.
Our Aim
Our aim is to become a CET Exam Centre and CET Learning Centre and be responsible for all registration administration, dealing with the Western Cape Education Department directly without having to go through the Community Learning Centre.
